Matthew Mee

Matthew qualified from Kings College, London in 1998. Since then, he has worked in a number of practices before moving to Bournemouth with his wife in 2005. After 4 years at Holmoak, Matthew became a partner in 2008. He is now the practice principal and hopes to be there as long as the previous owner – 35 years! He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with special interests in oral surgery and the treatment of gum disease. He regularly attends postgraduate courses to keep up to date with the latest techniques and is a member of the local dental committee. He is a member of the British Dental Association. In his spare time Matthew enjoys Dorset life with his wife and two young children, regularly taking walks in the New Forest or camping. He also has a sporty side, enjoying skiing, windsurfing and cycling... and claims to be a bit of a dab-hand in the kitchen. |

Lorna graduated from Bristol School of Dentistry in 2001. She enjoys all aspects of general dental care and is very passionate about a preventative approach to dentistry. She is extremely committed to helping patients achieve a healthy mouth in a caring and relaxed environment and will ensure you fully understand your dental treatment plan by providing you with a clear and succinct explanation. Lorna is a member of the British Dental Association. Outside the practice, Lorna has a busy family life and her interests include yoga and skiing and she partciularly enjoys cooking and entertaining for friends and family. |

Joanna qualified from Guy's Kings and St Thomas' in 2003, with a distinction in restorative dentistry. She has worked on the South Coast since, in both NHS and private practices. She is interested in all aspects of dentistry, but particularly enjoys restorative and cosmetic work. Away from the workplace, Joanna is a maother of two young children, and loves spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys many sports, particularly skiing and sailing, and the travelling that goes with them! |

Viola qualified as a dentist in 1998 from the Akademia Medyczna in Warsaw, where she owned her own practice until 2005, before moving with her family to a practice in Blandford Forum, Dorset. Now as part of a great team at Holmoak Dental Practice, Viola is particularly interested in cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry though is highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of dental treatment. She has also undergone further training in the administration of filler injection and Botulinum toxin injection techniques. Viola enjoys and appreciates healthy living with interests in sporting activities including cycling, swimming and running. |

Elizabeth qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in 2000 then worked in general practice in East Grinstead for 10 years before relocating, together with her husband and their two young boys, to the South of England. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and regularly attends postgraduate seminars and courses to maintain and further her clinical skills, recently completing her MJDF post graduate diploma. She is a member of the British Dental Association. Elizabeth is a member of Zoom Triathlon Club in Bournemouth and loves cycling; whether its road riding or mountian-biking and running, but admits she's not too keen on the swimming part! |

Richard qualified at Guy’s Hospital, London in 1973, where he went on to teach and practice general dentistry before moving to Bournemouth. R.L. Wood and Associates was started in 1975 and evolved into a successful Practice. In 2008 Matthew was invited to become a partner and the practice was renamed ‘Holmoak Dental Practice’. After over 35 years experience in dentistry Richard coninues to enjoy the variety of providing general patient care, especially as practice continuity has been maintained by Matthew, as new practice principal. Richard is a keen family man whose inserests include classsic cars and their restoration. |
Catherine Mee BSc (Hons), MChiro (AECC) Chiropractor |
Catherine is a doctor of chiropractic and our principal chiropractor. She was born in Scotland and initially started her career as a Clinical Vascular Scientist after gaining her Bachelor of Science degree at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, but decided to retrain as a chiropractor for a more rewarding career. She qualified from the world-renowned Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth with a Masters in Chiropractic with merit. As a keen sportswoman she has a strong interest in the treatment of sporting injuries but also enjoys helping pregnant women and babies. Catherine is continually updating her education and skills with further training through post-graduate courses for these specialist groups. Outside of chiropractic Catherine is kept busy with her two young children, but still enjoys running and has more recently joined the gruelling British Military Fitness group! She is an experienced horsewoman and a keen skier. Catherine is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and is registered with the General Chiropractic Council. Catherine is also married to Matthew! |
